Our new development for the upcoming XC World Cup overall winners! The sportiest and lightest children's mountain bike on the 29er principle from VPACE, for kids from approx. 1.40 m (if necessary also 3-4cm below).

The Carbon racing machine

MatzC is the super-fit brother of Matz and with its carbon frame the new hero on the starting line. If full throttle is all you know and your goal is to win the World Cup overall in 2040, Matz Carbon is your new best friend. The specially developed carbon frame is super-light and converts every ounce of energy into propulsion. The large 29er wheels give the bike stability on downhills and lots of grip on the steepest uphills. As with the original Matz, the geometry is modern and sporty, but the equipment is even lighter and optimised for racers. Matz Carbon is the ultimate race bike for kids.

The UDH derailleur hanger ensures precise shifting and protects the derailleur from damage. Universal compatibility and easy replacement - perfect for worry-free riding on any trail.

Performance Suspension Fork for Young Riders

The VPACE SL suspension fork with 80 mm travel and carbon bridge combines light weight, responsive performance and high stiffness. Perfect for precise handling and efficient power transfer. With a lockout on the crown, it's also ideal for cross-country riding and fast sprints.

Narrow Crank for Narrow Hips

The lightweight VPACE SL kids’ crank with 150mm Q-factor is specially designed for young riders. It ensures optimal ergonomics and efficient power transmission - perfect for kids. The 3-hole direct mount standard makes changing chainrings a breeze.

What Matz Carbon can do

What we wanted to do better with Matz compared to other frames on the market:

A shorter rear triangle makes the frame very agile and weight transfer to the rear wheel becomes child's play.
The steeper seat angle in combination with the right crank length makes ergonomic pedaling possible.
The shortened top tube and head tube enable make for a fun-handling bike - just as it should be for children.
Elegant and well-dimensioned tubing reduces weight - a good basis for a lightweight kids’ bike.

From the outset, the frame is designed with child-friendly components in mind so as to form a sensible unit between both:

Front derailleurs are superfluous and complicate the shifting process. Therefore, single drive with the widest possible range is what we went for
The frame was developed for disc brakes - disc only

The 29er principle

Kids who are put on 20 inch bikes by other manufacturers start out on 24 inch bikes with us and benefit especially from the smoothness and riding stability. Our bikes are more or less a 29er based on 20 - 29 inch wheels. Thanks to the larger wheels, obstacles are better negotiated and the young athlete gains from more riding confidence and also an increase in speed. What's more, it simply looks damn good - just like the big ones!

Range of use

The Matz Carbon children's mountain bike corresponds to a category 3 mountain bike. Bikes in this category can also be used on rough trails, in rough terrain and on difficult routes that require good riding technique. Jumps and drops can occur here up to a maximum height of 61cm. The Matz Carbon 275 children's bike is designed for a rider weight of max. 55kg.

UD-Carbon Finish on Matz Carbon carbon frames

The Matz Carbon carbon frames are produced with UD carbon fibres (unidirectional), which has no visible carbon structure like 3K carbon (honeycomb structure). To give a more technical look to the frame and also to save some weight again, we decided against a black colour top coat - because we love it! As each frame is laminated by hand and is unique, there may be small irregularities in the surface under the clear lacquer. This is definitely not a production defect or a weakening of the material.

Die Matz-Kinderbikes können ab Beginn der Größenempfehlung idR zwei bis drei Jahre gefahren werden und decken ein Größenwachstum von maximal 20 cm ab – nach Anpassung von Sattelstütze und Vorbau.

Tochter l(i)ebt das MAXC !!!

Unfassbar tolles Bike, tolle Abwicklung, tolles Team! Die Rezension kommt wegen diesem Gesamtpaket: als passionierte MTB Familie wollten wir unsere Tochter (Alter: 8 Jahre bei Körpergröße 134cm, Schrittlänge 63cm) noch mehr in das familiäre Hobby mit einbeziehen und kauften (eigentlich etwas vorausschauend) ein MAXC275- alle Fragen hinsichtlich Körpergröße/Schrittlänge Dropper-Post wurden von Markus vorher ausführlichst und sofort beantwortet- (mehrfach noch nachts um 23:30 ?). Konfigurationsänderungen für die aktuell gerechte Geometrie (40mm Vorbau, 28 Kettenblatt, Dropper Post) wurden alle umgesetzt, so dass unsere Tochter bereits jetzt trotz der (noch) leicht zu großer Dimension recht sicher unterwegs ist! Unsere Tochter l(i)ebt das MAXC. Ein Geschenk nicht nur an Sie, sondern an die Familie!
